Let’s Talk About Me

Who else were you expecting?

I’m a creative polymath with a non-prestigious degree and professional background in graphic design, and a personal background in drawing, painting, writing, coding, photography, and music composition.

I’m also an accessibility enthusiast who has dedicated a decade to helping kids and young adults with autism become work-ready in a world where disabilities are often overlooked.

I enjoy learning and exploring new hobbies, which has led me to develop a wide range of skills over the years. Check out my artist kit for details on my recommended tools.

Here’s a bit more about me, because who doesn’t like talking about themselves?

Some Facts

  • I stopped watching TV at age 12, which often leaves me missing pop-culture references from my generation. While I do watch now, I’m highly selective and typically prefer other activities.
  • I quit social media in 2008 because I realized I was far too much of a private person and found it mainly offered superficial engagements, debilitating distractions, and unnecessary stress.
  • I find small talk awkward and pointless. I’d much rather learn more about you than discuss the weather. This can make others uncomfortable since I don’t naturally engage in “safe” topics.
  • I prefer efficiency and efficacy over productivity any day, and I despise hustle culture and busyness. There’s always something that needs doing, just not by me at this moment.
  • I’m a minimalist and try to keep only what is meaningful in my life, including people. Yes, my home is white. No, it’s not an aesthetic choice. I live in an apartment and don’t want to paint the walls when I move out.
  • I don’t celebrate holidays or my birthday. The closest I come to a celebration is Independence Day, where I usually enjoy some barbecue and lakeside summer fun.

Some Favorites

  • My favorite video game is Final Fantasy 8. I’ve played it 13 times. It has everything: romance, war, and witches.
  • My favorite book series is tied between The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind, and The Dark Tower by Stephen King.
  • My favorite cartoons growing up were Garfield, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, and The Magic School Bus.
  • My favorite cookies are dark chocolate Oreos, basically any Pop Tarts, and soft chocolate chip cookies.
